740T and now maybe a 940T 900

The wifes 87 740T may be totaled and I'm looking at 940's. Had lots of coolant leaking problems with the 740 (overflow bottles, hoses, radiators, wiring harness cracked etc) most of which I attribute to the excessive heat from the 740 and not enough ventalation available. Does the 92 to 95 940T's have these same issues? I'd rather she settle for a plain 940 and have the lower expenses. Comments? thank you in advance!

Go for a 940T... and budget a couple hundred bucks to replace any cooling system components that are original or need it. Install the coolant level sensor, as described in the FAQ... easy DIY on a 940, and extra peace of mind.

Hoses, radiator, heater valve, expansion tank, etc. are ready to be renewed at 8 - 10+ years... turbo or N/A.

As far as I know, the 940 cars are not prone to wiring harness issues. I have not any electical issues in the year that I've had my car...
