Make the same thing using a $10 garden sprayer and a surplus Volvo brake fluid res. cap with a schrader valve in the top.

Talk to me.....

What is a "Schrader" valve???

I have a garden sprayer canister and pump and the extra reservoir cap..

You are talking of something I ahve thought of - but was not sure how to acheive it.

Thanks

For a fewbucks more , you can get a motive power bleeder. these things work very nicely, and no external air pressure supply needed.
They have them for about $40 at: http://www.bimmerparts.com/item.wws?catpk=&sku=POWERBLEEDER&qty=1&mfr=MOTIVE&storepk=300033&price=39.95&cookieID=11I03GT5W&clientid=bimmerparts.com

I used mine today to change the fluid on a 740, that pressure bleder makes it a pleasant experience.

I agree with Robert. Go with the Motive Bleeder. It rocks. It has it's own pressure pump and is very simple to operate. Worth the little extra $$$.

Hey Mark,

I bought one from IPD (www.ipdusa.com) for $28.50 and used it for the first time last weekend. Worked like a champ. Be sure to use an air source that you can push about 20 psi from. In my case, I used my spare and deflated it to 20 prior to using.

The reason I know to use 20 psi is because I tried it with more pressure and pushed brake fluid out and onto my garage floor! I'm thankful for kitty litter.

Anyway, my brake fluid looks like "salad oil" rather than "chocolate milk" and all is right with the world......

Stormie
