The car sounds like it's been butchered and put back together again with spare parts from Lord knows how many Volvos. On top of that, you're running 16lbs of boost??? Doesn't sound good with respect to reliability. It sounds exactly like a cheap car an over zealous teenager got and then "glued it all back together" with donor parts and then proceeded to "hot-rod" it with an insane amount of boost. This leads me to question how the car was driven - probably *very* hard. And the capper is your comment about the intercooler not being included for the $2,700 asking price. Whatcha gonna do, rip the intercooler and all it's assorted plumbing and fixtures out and then readjust the boost before you sell the car and convert it back to original non-intercooled specs? Do you have any idea how much work that is?! Perhaps it's just your way of trying to get someone to buy it by luring them in at a lower price and then playing the old "Oh, so you want it the way it is, huh? Well, now we're talking $3,500 now." Either way, I don't see anybody spending all the hours needed to rip out the intercooler and it's hardware and then reassembling the original parts so I must conclude that you're just trying to sucker people in with the current asking price and then hammering them for a few hundred more. With that way of thinking, maybe you should seek employment as a used car salesman? But wait - perhaps you already ARE! My advice to others is stay away from these types of Volvos. Just my two cents.
