Fuel Injection Question. (Lean condition) 900 1993

Hopefully someone can give me some input. While doing some spirited driving under 10 lbs.boost I let off the accelerated for a split second to facilitate the next gear, when i'm back on the gas again with boost back up, the engine exhibits a little momentary detonation. It seems to me that the fuel injection is not rebounding fast enough when i let off the gas and back on again. I also see my air/fuel ratio meter still on the lean side after i'm back on the gas again. Boost comes back instantly. Keep in mind this all happens in a split second.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this situation?
I've already installed a new pressure regulator and fuel filter.
Also thinking of installing rising rate fuel pressure regulator.

My vehicle currently has mvp 3" exhaust system which is probably why my boost rebounds quick. (very little lag)

Fuel Injection Question. (Lean condition) 900 1993

Check with MVP. The engine on my 760T runs most smoothly at high 10-15 psi with a Dawes G-valve and stock everything else, including exhaust. Do you have the MVP 3" down pipe, catalytic converter and cat-back exhaust? How is it?

Fuel Injection Question. (Lean condition) 900 1993

I have the complete system. The system is pretty nice. Not too loud. Nice deep tone under acceleration, not that high pitch sound like hondas. Acceleration response is very noticeable. Still working on an open air filter with custom made shield from the rest of the engine bay. I'm sure acceleration will improve even more. Right now i'm just trying to figure out whats going on with my fuel injection. I'll probably be sending out my fuel injectors to get blue printed and cleaned.
