What's worth saving? 140-160 1975

I'm probably going up to Reno, NV next week to go fiddle with a nice looking 740 (and hopefully return with it). With any luck, there will still be a 1975 164E. The paint is faded, the interior is pretty rough, and the car needs a transmission (automatic).

I can't help but think it would be a shame to see this car go to the wreckers. Is there anything that would be worth grabbing while I'm there? Do any of you brickboarders want anything from it?

I had asked them to hold on to it earlier this year, but my 240s have kept me busy enough that I've pretty much given up on making a running 164E out of that car.

I guess everyone has their own ideas. Does the car belong to you?
Someone might want the engine for either a car or a boat. The ignition
system (distributor, module and coil) is the ONLY OEM electronic ignition
system that bolts onto the B30 engine and thus makes a good conversion for
earlier models. (I've already got one, though.)

Someone might want the tranny - Not sure who or why.

If you can get it out without breaking it, I could use the (front) windshield.
(assuming it is in good shape - the one on my 69 164 is milky around the edges.)

The fuel injection system components, from the fuel pump to the injectors and
their mounts, are probably salable items. Don't forget the computer.

The car does not belong to me. I'll know by tonight if the car is still there (more than likely it is), but if it's around it's just sitting at a tow yard waiting to be junked. They get about $30 for the cars that they give to the wreckers. The tow company is actually owned in part by a friend's family. The thought of paying $30 for whatever we can carry out has been batted around once or twice before. But now that he's bought another fully running car I was thinking of putting some of the stuff on eBay or selling it outright. It sure wouldn't take much to recover the initial investment.
