The 940 failed emissions today. Here's the results.
HC:
Limit: .59 gpm
Tested: .80 gpm
CO:
Limit: 15.00 gpm
Tested: 8.05 gpm
NOx:
Limit: 2.00 gpm
Tested: 3.66 gpm
So it seem the NOx was through the roof and the HC's barely squeaked by. My old '91 740 nonturbo had failed once with NOx too high (but not nearly this high), but a good beating to get the cat nice and hot did the trick. I ran the test twice (I work at the shop that the inspection was done at) and ran the car hard before I started the test. No dice. Tomorrow I'm replacing the 02 sensor, since the HC's look a bit high to me, and my mileage isnt what I think it should be (19mpg, with a lot of highway driving) and see if that helps. Any other ideas? It also dosent help that this is a non-egr equipped car.
