NEED ADVICE: Clutch and Rear Engine Seal Replacement 700 1987

My M46+OD has been leaking a lot of Mobil 1 since I bought the car and the shifter has stuck between gears when shifting (as well as not properly engaged) so I have been advised to replace my oil-covered clutch and fix the gaskets so that the leak will go away and the shifting will improve.

Basically, what parts should I replace to solve both these problems?

What tools will I need?

What trouble can I run into?

What are the best brands/shops for the parts?

Any tips for installation?

Thanks

Some people on this board swear by Mobil 1, and others stated that their car started leaking oil after the change. Went back to conventional oil, and the leaks went away.

You are running Mobil 1 in your M46, or are you using Mobil 1 in the engine and you are leaking it past the rear main seal. I ask because the M46 with OD calls for ATF.
