While cleaning my oil filter adapter in preperation for reinstall a ball bearing fell into my cleaning bucket. I do not know what part of the adapter it came from and would like to find out so I can reinstall the adapter. Does anybody have and idea?

Is there a spring somewhere?
oil pressure bypass valve?
What kind of adaptor? Volvo? Or something else.

It is a Volvo item that came on later model turbos. I assume there is a spring inside but I was just cleaning the exterior.
It moves the oil filter reward away from the turbo.
