Taillight printed circuit 700 1987

I recently replaced one taillight housing. The housing came without the printed circuit that actually operates the lights, and, at the suggestion of the parts house from which I bought the housing, I re-used the printed circuit from the old assembly.

It works, but the circuit that operates the brake light is very worn -- the bulb intermittently doesn't make full contact, turning the "bulb out" light on although it's making apparently full brightness when you look at the lights operating. Very frustrating, since we then can't tell if a bulb is actually out.

Does anyone have any experience with clever solutions that are cheaper than buying a new printed circuit for this taillight? Would that paint used to repair the resistance heaters on rear windows work? It's copper on plastic, so I assume that I can't build up some solder on it.
