adjust hood release cable? 700 1985

Would anyone know where I could find directions for taking the slack out of the hood release cable? Haynes doesn't have much.

    Think this is true for your car. There is a nut on the hood release handle inside the car. Turn it clockwise ( I think) to tighten the cable.
