My wife was in Kennebunkport when she saw a 1990 240 sedan for sale for $500.
She called and asked what was wrong with it and the woman said "it's old".
I drove it and other than the SRS light being on and a dented trunk and rear door it's in great shape.NO RUST!!
Charcoal gray with 183k miles,automatic mint interior,and it came with service records from day one($700 for new brakes in 1998).One owner.
How do I clear the SRS light?

Seems like Maine has quite a few Volvos, I've seen them on Ebay often.
I cleared the light on my friend's 93 244 using the procedure in the 700/900 faqs. The codes were not the same, but I could read them and clear them.

$500 because it is old??

And your wife spotted it...and told you about it???

My wife loves Volvos and is spotting them for me - but up here (Alberta Canada)a 90-240 wagon would still get $4000-$5000CDN ($2700 - $3500USD)maybe a bit less for a sedan

"Black tape" this works with check engine lights - does this work with SRS lights?

I'm envious- I just bought a 89 245 for $1700, runs good all records and I thought I got a good deal..

You are a lucky man !! Your wife is telling you to buy more volvo's !!
