Can anyone tell me anything about the factory/dealer alarm on a 1988 780? IE: How it works, is there a key fob, why when I put it in auto arm when I unlock the door it goes off? Thanks for any help! I have an 87 so I don't know if it is the same as yours but yes there is a key fob. You place it up against the window matching it up to the alarm and the red light blinks on. When you return to the car do the same thing and the light blinks off and you can unlock the car. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately it does not unlock the doors it only turns the alarm on and off. I don't have any literature on it and I would assume the dealer could get you one. It has no buttons or anything it is just a small black rectangular piece of plastic.
