thanks rstarkie, temp guage now works 200

I finally figured out on why both of my guages were not working after my install. I had installed that 45 degree little white plastic connector too high on the board instead of in the middle where it is supposed to connect. It is hard to see what you are connecting so I goofed. I resodered my guage and it works great. I also took out the bulbs for srs, service and bulb failure since those are always on and bugged me.

If you don't want the bulb failure light that's your call, but I wouldn't leave home without it. If one of my lights is out I want to be the first to know. If you know for sure that all of your bulbs are working, perhaps it's because you replaced one bulb on one side but not on the other. The sensor is sensitive enough to sense the difference in resistance between an old bulb and a new one, and it's always a good idea to change both sides at the same time anyway. Bulbs are made to such exacting tolerance that when a bulb on one side is going out, it's not long before the other one goes out.

Glad it all worked out in the end. So maybe you won't go Honda shopping after all?

no Honda for now 200

No Honda for now. These Volvo's are for sure a love and hate relationship. There is something neat about the 240, I just keep coming back to them.
