Can anybody recommend a good Volvo mechanic in the NYC/New Jersey area?
Thanks,

Suspension work. The car after 190,000 miles squeaks a lot.
People are telling meits the bushings? It that it?
Any recommendations regarding a mechanic in NYC area would be appreciated.

I asked because I live in NYC and do all my own work. Someone else suggested you have a friend push while you crawl under the car to look for the noise. I would do it the exact same way - I would of course elevate the car. Follow the noise with your ears and I'm sure you'll locate where it's coming from. I hope that helps.

I highly recommend ProVoVo in Monmouth County, Freehold N.J. Honest, knowledgeable shop.

Wow, the NYC/New Jersey area is a BIG area (as you undoubtedly know). I can recommend my mechanic -- he's in the New Brunswick, NJ area (about 10 miles west of Outerbridge Crossing (southern tip of Staten Island, into NJ), and then 10 miles south of that. If that's close enough to you, contact me directly (KenAC@aol.com) and I'll give you more particulars. He's a really great, and relatively reasonable, independent who only works on Volvos.
    Regards.
