Turbo oil question 900

Hi bricksters,
I have a question regarding turbo. Is it possible for oil in the shaft to leak to the compressor ? There is a lot of oil around the turbo compressor on my 940. I cant seem to figure out yet how it got there.

Thanks

    Turbo oil question 900

Typical problem, in fact, having a little oil on the compressor side and inside the hoses is considered normal. More than a tablespoonful in 3,000 mi though is indicative of a leak needing attention. Drain the intercooler, see how much is in there, drain it each time you do an oil change. Watch your exhaust for smoke (you may need someone to follow you as you drive to observe the exhaust since it exits low and tends to dissipate in the car's slipstream before you can see it in the rearview.
