Hello to all.

I was looking for seats for my 79 264GL and stumbled upon some great looking seats out of a 744 Turbo. They look great and I wouldn't mind swaping out my old seats for these seats. The guys lives near by making pickup a brezze and he wants $100 for all of the seats. There is a picture of the seats above for all to see. Anyways, does anybody know if these seats can be put into a 79 264 Sedan? The seats come from a 744 Turbo. I would be grateful for any and all comments.

    Maybe fixed login guy can elaborate as to why it will not work... I can believe that it isn't a direct bolt in, but many things can be done given enough time and money!! ;) Those seats look sweet...

      Sure. the width between the center console of a 240/260 and the door is less than the width of a 700 seat.

        Thanks for the clarification. Has anyone had any success with removing the console and putting the 740 seats in? Would it have enough room then?

          The attachment mechanism is also completely different. I'm sure it's been done by someone, somewhere. However, if you really want different
          seats, there are easier swaps that will yeild better results. Now I've got a set of sunburnt 760 seats (front and rear) you could have for
          $100 if you really wanted to experiment :)
