Removing window trim to paint 120-130

I'd like to remove the front and rear windows on my 122s for purposes of treating rust, painting and resealing. But what is the best way and tool to use for removing the chrome trim? I have resigned myself to leaving the window sill chrome alone. I can install new window scrapes by loosening one end of the chrome without removing the entire piece.

And does anyone have a strong opinions (or URLs to paint sites) on type and brand of paint to use in keeping the original appearance?

Thanks,
Linc

Removing window trim to paint 120-130

Like many posters, you left "ALL" in the year block.
    It DOES make a difference.
They changed the chrome between 66 and 67.
If yours is 66 or earlier, the door window chrome pushes in from the outside
and then the inside can be lifted and the whole strip comes back to the outside.
On the big rear windows the chrome strip has spring clips that snap into holes
in the bottom of the outer windowsill. If you take off the upholstery panel on the inside you can push them up to help get them off. Usually the clips are
very rusty and there is no known source of them (although they can be replaced.)
