alarm / fuse problem 900 1995

my 960 wagon has what appears to be a short.

On the first warm day this spring my alarm (factory unit) went off while I was at work. fuse 13 was blown and looks like it is shorting out. fuse 13 controls the interior lights and the clock. I have heard that it is common for shorts to appear on the door open sensors on the first warm day when the rubber expands.

the remote locking system isn't working now either.

my manual doesn't have a wiring diagram beyond the engine and emissions stuff.

where can I get a more complete wiring diagram ?

should I disconnect the alarm and try again ?

any other ideas ?

Sounds like the system thinks a door opened and is staying open.

The door switches are easy to remove and inspect. It may be a simple as one of the wires has fallen off. They, the switches, are also relatively cheap so I would have a new one handy to replace any suspect. I think the driver's door is different from the others. The first candidate would be the driver's door since it gets the most use.

Let us know what happens!
