Well I did have the lamps installed backwards since they seemed to fit in better that way. I switched them so the higher end is facing the back, but both were still really loose. Attempted to push out the plastic clips on both lamps so they would click in, AND both snapped right off so they are useless now!!! The lamps were Scan-tech!!! I went to my Volvo guy and he took an OEM one off an 850 and it snapped right in correctly!!! Just another rant about Scan-tech!!! Maybe I got a defective set...has anyone else had issues with this installation???

scantech sent me a set of liscense plate lights for my 89 240 dl, the bulbs wouldn't fit in the brackets- i don't buy scantech anymore

I don't know what was wrong, but I had a devil of a time getting the scan-tech side markers in on my 740. Actually, the left side went on ok. For the other side I had to move it around and fidget with it and use lots of force. At least they finally fit. Now I just hope I never need to remove them.

Said it before,I'll say it again.SCAN-TECH stuff sucks! Doesn't matter if it's cosmetic or mechanical,metal or plastic.Save your time and hard earned money.BOYCOTT scan-tech!
