Anyone have INSTRUCTIONS for installing PET GATE on 240 wagon?? 200

I recently bought a used pet gate (with no instructions)for my 240 wagon. However, I can't seem to figure out if I should drill holes in the ceiling or if they are already existing behind the roof liner.

    (assuming you have an OEM gate)
    Feel the headliner to find the threaded bosses where you will mount the main support hangers. There are two ways to mount them and if you have rear seat headrests you will have to determine the orientation. Install the gate and the latch pieces on the rear seat. The up-position retainers can be installed once the gate is hung and raised.

      Yes, it is an OEM gate and I do have rear head rests ('92 wagon). So, the bosses are already underneath the headliner. I already have grey colored brackets mounted on the back of the rear seat (one below each headrest) and the pet gate came with two sets of brackets as well. Do I need to remove those existing brackets from the back of the rear seats and mount the ones that came with the gate?

        What are the grey colored brackets used for? Do you have a rear facing 3rd seat? If you do, the 3rd seat's (2)back brackets and (2)seat belts must be removed. The pet cage uses the same mounting holes, the ones behind the rear head rests and at the ceiling. You have to chose what option is more useful, pet cage or 3rd seat. I say pet cage if you have no small children.

        Yes, you must use all the hardware for pet cage because it's different from the 3rd seat's hardware. At least, that's how mine install.
