tire wear 200 1987

I noticed that the tread on the front tires is wearing faster than the rear. The inside of the tire is wearing much faster than the outside. The half of the tire on the outside looks fine, the other half inside is balding. Is this the sign of something in the suspension/steering needing changed? I also noticed a little of a shake in the steering wheel at high speeds, but nothing too bad. I keep the tires rotated and get them aligned etc. Over the winter the front tires just wore out quickly. Any suggestions or is this normal? Thanks

    tire wear 200 1980

Last week I noticed a "little shimmy" in My front end. No tire wear noticed. I thought maybe out of balance tires. No such luck! My mechanic found a bad inner tie rod end. Bad tire wear is NOT normal! Have it checked ASAP! Might also be a bad ball joint! Invest in some new front tires, but find the problem first!
    Good luck ;o)

It is either a toe problem or the camber. Either way it is an alignment prob. I had the same problem after having the Volvo dealer do an alignment. Went back and was told the machine was out of calibration.. Redid it and all is fine.
