Hi:

Lately I've been having problems with the Overdrive Indicator Light on the Dasboard. It doesn't seem to want to come on all the time. When it's working, it comes on at above 45 MPH and goes off below 45. It doesn't seem to effect the Overdrive operation though. I still get the 5th gear indicator when the OD button is depressed. And it goes into OD.

Where does this light get it's signal from? What is it actually supposed to do?

    what your seeing is the upshift arrow. on manual trans cars they use that arrow to indidicate when to upshift. it is triggered by rpm and should go out when you change into the next gear. if it is malfunctioning, disconnect the battery and then when you reconnect the battery start the car and drive through all the gears leaving the light on for about 5 seconds and then upshift and do this through all the gears, and it will reprogram itself.
