Not a Volvo Question - Nissan Truck Timing Chain Re/Re

Does any one know of a comparable site for Nissan Trucks? Ie 90 King Kab

I have a 90 Nissan King Kab, 2.4L auto, that needs the original timing chain glides (and chain and sprockets) replaced. Has anyone on done such work and is it within the realm of the possible for a DIYer? Are there any things to watch out for (or things to do that the Haynes manual does not mention?)

I wish my Truck was as easy to work on as my 95 940!!!

Thanks very much

Chris

95 940 80,000 km
90 Nissan King Kab 204,000km.

Not a Volvo Question - Nissan Truck Timing Chain Re/Re

I'm experienced with the L28 series nissan motors. If yours needs a chain then only use an oe chain no matter how expensive. Get a timing kit which would include a chain for all other components. Is this an L24e motor? Do you have a haynes manual?
