Wires disconnected behind center console. 200

In my '79 244 dl the previous owner removed some of the wires trying to connect a stereo and now the dash lights (above the tach and spedometer) and clock lights and clock wire are not plugged in. Does anyone have or know of a wiring diagram for this?
---Also I was curious about installing a stereo, do I need to buy some sort of adapter or wiring harness?
--Thanks for all your suggestions/advise

If it is just the lights you can just tap into another dash light wire, like one of the lights in the center console. The dashlight wires are typically light brown, but I'm not sure about a 79. It might also be the light switch, or the dashboard rheostat causing your problem. You might be able to get an adapter for a new sterio from Crutchfield, but it is likely that the sterio wiring has already been messed with, so a stock adapter might not work. It would be easier to just cut and splice your own wires.
