B30F and B20F d-jet injector differences? 140-160

(grumble grumble stuped microsoft internet exploder)...

Does anyone know if there are any differences between the B30 and B20
injectors, in terms of flow rates at a given fuel pressure and such?

I've got 8 injectors from a B20 and 6 from a B30 and I'm thinking of
having them sent out and balanced / cleaned / rebuilt and it would be
nice if I could send all of them out and say "I want the best 12" and
not worry about the rest.

    Chris-

What do you mean by balancing?

    Thanks

Places that rebuild injectors say that, among other things they:

in order to verify the spray pattern, they fire a laser through the
stream to verify that it makes small particles of liquid in the right
      shape

run them at full duty cycle and part duty cycle, firing into a measuring
device to verify that they flow exactly the correct volume of fuel

if you give them 2 or more injectors, they try to make sure that all
the injectors you give them deliver *exactly* the same quantity of
fuel given identical fuel pressure and injector pulse widths.

I wouldn't be surprised if, given normal manufacturing tolerances,
there was a variance of 2-3% on modern, new injectors and 5% or more
on the ancient bosch injectors (when new), let alone once they get
      kinda worn.

The easiest way to make sure is to look for part numbers on them.
I have every reason to think that they are the same, though.

My main concerns with doing that are:

1: different part numbers may be functionally identical

2: the B30 and B20s may get different injectors but some bozo put the
wrong ones in a long time ago and caused the problems that directly lead
to my getting the car (all of my kids are problem children, or were when
      I got them).

I'll have a look -- I'd sure feel dumb if all my injectors had the
      same part numbers...

      thx,
      chris

The stock injector for the B20F and I think the B30F as well was Bosch 0 280 150 036, if that helps.

For cleaning, flow benching, and balancing, I highly recommend Rich at www.cruzinperformance.com. I sent him 8, but needed 4. He basically did one at at time until I got a well matched set.

If you don't mind my asking -- what was the price for this service
for getting 4 out of 8 injectors returned to you in good shape?

It was $68 with return shipping for the four. The first four he did were a good match.

This included replacing the inlet hoses and pintle caps. He also gave me new O-rings for all of them - check the price for these ALONE at ipd.
