Go with the '91 and newer style glass. It's a flush mount rather than a raised lip. This will create less wind noise, less drag, and a better watertight seal. The newer style should also be easier to install. -and yes, they all have the same dimensions/sizes (except the Bertone 262c).

God bless,
Fitz Fitzgerald.

Ha, I had a similar problem in my corrola wagon a couple years back. Mine was a laser boom though.

I'm 'pretty' sure all 200-series used the same windshield, but trim and mounting rubber strips, etc. may have changed over the years. I got one of those mobile glass outfits to put a new one in my son's 1981 244. They came and did it right in our driveway, total charge $140, and a nice job (no globs of sealant all over the place..)

All 240 cars have the same windshield dimension and configuration although you might want to install the newer ('91-on) flush glass type. I put one from a '93 245 in the 242Ti and it is nice. Pilkington (Volvo) is best but $$$.

i just installed the ppg brand.it is a nice second to the pilkington at about $40.00 less if cost is an issue.i would stay away from the generics(safelite,guardian.etc.).
