1990 740 Turbo Dies during repeated acceleration 700

This volvo has 210 thousand miles. When I press the gas pedal to the floor and release, then depress again, and release...the engine dies. Any suggestions? Maybe clogged fuel injectors?

Look for boost leaks. If the boost level is too high the cutout switch will kill the engine. It's set for around 13 psi.

What are boost leaks? Where should I begin the search? Thanks

When the turbo compresses the intake air, any tears or holes cause a reduction in boost pressure. Check the FAQ.

The car stalls while it is in drive. If I start out from a stop sign and pumt the pedal to the floor twice, it will die. If I am moving down the road about 15 mph, and pump the pedal hard twice, it will die.
