is there some sort of gasket for the oil canister/it leaks like crazy 444-544

just changed the oil put new filter in the canister bolted it on and oil squirts out where it seats against the block,what did i do wrong? thanks,kris also what should i flush my gas tank out with ?,i just drained the 20 year old gas out.

    There is a square cross section o-ring which comes with every new oil filter. It goes in the grove in the engine block. Be sure to dig out all of the old o-ring.

    It's been 25 years since my last B16, but yes, there used to be a rubber ring that came with the filter. I didn't always use it, but ,eventually, I'd have to dig the old one out of its groove with an icepick.
