Color Change? 900

I'm thinking of having the family grocery-getter painted (after ten years I think it's just about due). I'd like to change the color, (currently white with grey leather interior) Can anyone give me a really good reason not to? I know that it will be more expensive to change colors, but if I only do this once every 10-12 years, I think it's worth it. Any comments are greatly appreciated - Kevin

the thing about changing color, is that:
    what about your engine compartment?
what about the inner side of doors, etc?

you will need to do much more work to get a "complete" color change, than just an exterior fix-up.

I dont personally like white cars, so I would change color.
I would change to ferarri red, which is a really nice color!!

I dont think white is much work to change to another color. it's much worse if you want to change from black to white.

I'm with DaButcher about making an easy job difficult. (exept I actually LIKE white on these cars -- especially the turbos that have extensive black trim)

I imagine the labor involved would triple your cost. Because prepping the exterior is reasonably easy/quick. I would think masking and prepping every knook and cranny of the car would take a prohibitively large amount of time.

Like just about everything, it's a matter of money. How badly do you want to change the color?
