Engine Compression 140-160

I just had the head worked on my 72 142e and noticed my compression didn't improve, however the car has more power and the guy who did the valves said they needed worked. They are, 125 95 130 90, dry. With oil in the cylinders about 15 lbs. higher. Obviously I need to do further work on engine but the head was worked due to a blown head gasket. I yeilded to the temptation to do a half job.

What should a good engine have for compression?

Thanks-
Mark Richardson
