Brake failure light 200

The brake failure light has taken to coming on intermitantly for a few minutes, and then going out again. The brakes seem to be working normally, there is no loss of fluid or obvious leakage, and I have checked for dirty or loose electrical connections.
Is this likely to be a sticking pressure switch, or could it indicate something else?
Any comments appreciated please.

Usually the strng smell of DOT4 brake fluid is a give away. Sniff all four wheels after pushing on the pedal hard. Later on, go look at a spot on the ground just inside the LF wheel. That's where the junction block will leak.

The brake failure light comes on when the pressure is not the same in the two brake circuits. Air in one circuit will do that. Check the brake fluid reservior frequently. If one of the two tank partitions seems to drop more quickly than the other, that's proof of a leak. Air can enter one circuit if this is the problem. Hope this helps.

    Good Luck,

    Bob

my memory says do not unscrew that switch or you will be screwed.you will end up replacing the entire valve.i realize that does not fix your problem, but it might stop you from creating a leak.if i have any positive thoughts i will submit
