Need advice 700

Im almost done putting in my rebuilt b230ft.I was wondering is there anything i should do before i start it up cuz this engine may have been sitting for a long time.

You could spin the intermediate shaft with a drill motor (or the like) in order to prime the oil system, but I have a feeling you already have the timing belt on.

I'd think the assembly lube you used would carry you through initial startup. For peace of mind I don't install the spark plugs until ready for the first start and spin the engine over with the starter until there's oil pressure. Then I install the plugs and start it. I haven't rebuilt a Volvo but have used this technique on motorcycle engines.
