transmission kickdown S90-V90 1998

I'm getting a fairly heavy transmission kickdown when slowing down to a stop. Is there any adjustment to the transmission availble to solve this?

I get the same only with the system cold, fist 3 to 5 miles after that no more, I'm using synthetic ATF.

My wife's '98 S90 does it occasionaly (very rare, actually), although I would not call it "heavy". My wife would have instantly complained about it if she'd felt "heavy" kickdowns: she is very sensitive to everything in her car.

Our 98 S90 has done this since new at exactly 20 mph when slowing to a stop. The dealer replaced 2 shift solenoids. It made no difference. I'm in the process of switching over to Synthetic ATF, but I really don't think it's going to help the hard downshift situation. It's been doing it for 64,000 miles and the tranny hasn't fallen out, yet.

    Our 95 960 downshifts seamlessly.

I don't believe there is any adjustment.

Sounds like one of the electronically controled valves may be hanging up. When was the last time your transmission was flushed and had synthetic oil put in?
