The picture shows a big front radio like the ones in the 850s installed in a 940. I have three questions:

In these cars, are the fuses and relays mounted behind the ashtray like on my 740s?

Are these large stereos double din?

Is the tray and lighter combo between radio and ashtray from a 780?

The salient feature in your picture is the CocaCola can. It is an excellent picture. Register the picture as your property. Make a few phone calls to find out what ad company handles CocaCola Europe, then send them the picture.

Ad copy possibility:

"Found in the cars of discerning drivers - walnut trim, full instrumentation, superb sound system, hands-on transmission, and CocaCola"

Who knows, maybe it'll be better than the lottery.

Fuses and relays are the same location as your 740.

This is a double-DIN stereo.

I suspect the lighter/tray may be from a 960. The 960 had a double-DIN stereo in most of the later models (1995 onward), but it had a slightly different dash design. This is the first pic I have seen where a double-DIN was fitted to the 940 (and 740) style dash.

Thanks, just what I wanted to know. Now I need to find that tray unit from a 780, I will ask my dealer but I doubt it is cheap. The 960 set-up has a different ashtray because the fuses and relays are at the side of the dash.
