740 Turbo wheels on 240? & Seats wanted in Ontario 200

Hi All,

Just curious if anyone has done a 740-240 wheel swap. I would like to put my turbo 740 rims on my '87 240 sedan, which has 14' wheels. Are there any clearance or handling concerns I should consider in this swap?

I'm also looking for a complete set of seats for a 240 sedan in Ontario or W.NY. If you have something available please drop me a response with details and price.

Thanks all,

MIke

I have mounted Omega and Draco 15x6 wheels on the 244 & 245, both with 205/60-15 tires. No bumps or rubs, just nice looking wheels and fat rubber.

I'm using the Dersus 740 wheels for my winter snow tires on my '87 240 wagon (a gift from the previous owner). They narrow the wheelbase by 5mm each side, but this isn't very noticable for the average driver. If you really want to, you could machine a set of 5mm spacer for each wheel, but I'm not going to bother. The improvement would be negligable and I have better things to spend my time doing (like changing my accessory bushings).

    God bless,
    Fitz.

Yes, the wheels fit fine. I have 205-60X15s on my 245 with 10 spoke 760 wheels; they rub lightly in the insides at the rear with a heavy load, otherwise OK.
