Fuel injectors 900

While cleaning the throttle body noticed fuel deposit in the manifold and marking of fuel driping from each cylinder, seem the injectors are leaking, are injectors rebuilt??

Yes, you can have injectors cleaned, tested and certified. I had mine done by Linder Technical Services for about $25 each. They do a complete cleaning, electrical test, and flow test. You can find local folks who do the same thing, especially those who work on diesel injection systems.

I am very interested in this procedure. What specific differences did you find with the car after this procedure, and how much debris came out?

I can't speak about "debris" since the cleaning was done far away. I did notice more consistent idling. All the injectors came back in good order. But I would not do it again unless I had a symptom I could not otherwise cure, or very high mileage on the injectors.

Steve,

Clearly you have the mechanical ability and knowledge to clean injectors yourself. Did you send yours out because you didn't have time to do them, or do these injector "re-comnditioning" places do something that cannot be achieved at home with a bottle of Techron and an air compressor?

I'm considering cleaning mine at home. But if you feel it's worth it to send them out, then that's probably what I'd do.

Thanks in advance for your input.
