Any ill effects from unplugging the SRS module/sensor under the seat? 700 1988

Ok, I'm getting rid of everything that I do not need and would like to render the airbag useless as I'm not a big fan of them. I'm mainly wondering if I get rid of the module(s) under the seat(there are two boxes connected together IIRC) if the airbag will go off for no reason or whatever or if it will just make it useless. I do not want to be driving down the road and all of a sudden "poof" and have the air bag hit me and make me wreck if ya know what I mean :D. thanks for any input/information you can offer me on this subject.

You can safely disconnect the module under the seat by pulling apart the orange and yellow connectors under the carpet on the left side of the console. Your SRS light will stay on. Just remove the bulb.

Thanks for the quick reply! Good to hear that, I removed the entire module from underneath the seat and unplugged the connectors and then just tucked them away and capped them off although I doubt the metal connectors inside could touch anything anyway. This 740Ti is gonna haul with about ~400lbs removed and a few minor mods with plenty more to come.
