Infamous 25 amp fuse for fuel injection... where to locate it? 200 1987

I still can't get it to start. I opened my fuel pump relay (under the passenger side dash) and it looked great, no broken wires, etc. I was also told to check the 25 amp fuse which is located in a holder on the drivers side fender well. What does this holder look like? Is it metallic. located between the battery and the front fender well beside the power steering tank? Car is an 87 240. Thanks again!

Try a jumper wire between the two fuel pump fuses in the fuse block. Check the owner's manual, but I think it's #4 and 6. If it starts, then the chances are no power is getting through that underhood fuse and fuse holder. FWIW, on my '88 the fuse holder was black. Twice over the life of the car it needed to be replaced. The second time, the fuse looked perfect and checked OK on my meter's continuity tester, BUT it apparently had high resistance. A new fuse and fuse holder (since I had it on hand) got Rumblegutz running again.

It is a clear plastic holder high up on the fenderwell just beside the battery. Someone may have replaced it with a new cover with a black plastic boot. It should be easy to see -- maybe someone more technicalogically advanced than me could send you a picture. Possibly it is just corroded. When you find it, replace it and see what happens.

As an aside, that little fuse is the single best safety item on a 240 for teenage drivers! More than once, when my daughter was a teenager and got an attitude, that little fuse dissappeared from her car. Yep, she wasn't going anywhere! (She will be 21 Monday, and I never have told her why her car would not start all those times!).

I went down to the car and tried to look for it with no success. All I see beside the battery is some sort of relay (the silver thing) and mounted beside it is black plastic shielding, the wires that go to it are power from the battery. On one of the cables coming from the battery is a 30Amp fuse which is intact.
Someone mentioned it was supposed to be a "spade type fuse" and I have no idea what that is supposed to look like. I think I'll have a chance to take a picture and post it so maybe i'll be able to get some more guidance that way. If you have any other ideas let me know. Thanks for your help

I took the motorcycle today or I'd take a Pic.

It's on the drivers side feder. There is a metal can next to it, that is Headlight relay. It is a clear American style automotive fuse not like the ones in the car. The Fuse is in a white holder that is clipped to the galvinised bar with the relay.

Infact, off the positive side of the battery follow the thinner Red wire, that runs right to the fuse.

        Tony,

I followed the thin wire and on it was that 30 amp fuse. It is a thin clear type fuse spliced onto the thin red cable coming from positive. I'm guessing the prior owner did this as a replacement possibly? If that's the case it seems that my relays are working properly but still no fuel to the engine, spark confirmed. I can get a hold of a voltmeter and do some testing if that would be recommended. Could the fuel pump have died? How do i check the relays for proper functioning?
