Installation of Primary Fuel Pump 1984.5 244 GLT 200

Dear Folks:

Are there any pitfalls to avoid doing this; I've never done this before. My present pump draws 12 amps and overheats the fuse. I have a new one on the way.

Thanks,
Jim Soule

Is your pre-pump okay?

A dead or clogged pre-pump will put increased load on a main pump.

If Paul's suggestions don't work, try a 15 amp fuse.

Easy as pie. Clean the electrical connections, renew the ground connection.

New or resoldered fuel pump relay? Fuse contacts shiny new?
