94 -940-no fire 900

I recently replaced the heater control valve and heater hoses on my 94 940. All was well for a few days until it refused to start. No fire to the plugs. Replaced the crankshaft senser with no luck. Checked coil with meter-no problem there. Any ideas? Thanks Al

replaced dist. cap, rotor, coil and now all is well. All replaced parts seemed to be original. Guess it's ready for another 153K.

Usually the crank sensor would be the first suspect but I would suspect the power stage now.
Next thing to try is the suppression relay. See the FAQ for more relay info.

Also, if the fuel pump relay is original, replace or re-solder it. They have a date code- anything over 6 years old is suspect, though it will not cause lack of spark. It's just preventive medicine.
