1991 Volvo 740 Turbo with 133,000 mi. After previously running fine, car was hard to start one morning. I could barely keep it running around the block, then it wouldn't start. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and it would start, but backfire upon accelaration and barely run. Replaced main fuel pump and all seemed fine. However, car will occasionally develop fuel starvation problem. It will run fine for 2 to 3 days, then it will happen. Turning off and immediately restarting corrects the problem. Fuel filter was replaced 2 months earlier. Also replaced fuel pump relay. In tank pump seems to be ok as I can hear it running when idling. Any suggestions?
thanks,
Brian
