I spoke too soon.... 200 1990

I thought replacing the Fuel pressure regulator would take care of the problem of real bad idle and loss of power, but it didn't. I tested the coolant temp sensor and it seems fine. What to check next? what happens if the cold start injector goes bad? would it cause the car to idle poorly at all temperatures? would it use more gas (ie poor mpg)?

TIA

Have you been over it thoroughly for vacuum leaks?
I know I mention it a lot... but I was surprised myself the otehr day to find that I had lots of little holes in the hose from the AMM to the intake.
The car runs better and gets better mileage without the vacuum leaks. Idle quality was also greatly improved.
Also inspect the valve cover gasket and injector seals for leaks. Spray with carb cleaner, and see if the idle changes- if so a leak is indicated.

      Rob,

I checked for leaks especially the hoses connected to the intakes. Everything looks good. I haven't check the valve cover gasket and will buy some barb cleaner since I ran out. Can you think of anything else?

      Thanks
