Chip off the old block 700

Took my 89 745 tic W/185k in for service....manual trans oil change had metal chips. Should I be concerned? Never heard of having to rebuild Manual Transmission. Shifts as good as new and makes no noise. Thanks

    I would flush it at least once with new oil, drain, refill. Make certain its clean and then keep a close eye on it. It could just be normal brass wearing off the synchro rings, hopefully it's not something more serious. The OD filter MUST be changed or you will soon kill that unit. See the 700 FAQ.
    Hope it's nothing serious.
