Hi, I noticed that one of my brake lights (drivers side) is not working, though the same light does work when the headlights are on. The brake light warning bulb illuminates when I push the brake pedal and the fuse (#7 I believe, that controls the stop lights) has blown twice. Can anybody give me any tips on things I should check? The taillight assembly is fairly new and I have had no real problems with it so far, though I have had to remove and screw back in that particular bulb because the warning light came on that a bulb was out cause it was not making proper contact with the circuit board.

For whatever reason, that one bulb is more trouble than all the others in the whole car. I always see 240s with that brake light inoperable. Anyway, you should try to see what the failure mode is with the bulb:
if it's white, cloudy, yellow, or milky looking, then you're getting water in the light and you need to do something about that. The best fix is a new assembly, but you've replaced it already you said? If it was a used one it could easily be leaking too. Anyway a quick fix is to take a small drill and drill a couple of holes from the outside bottom corner up into the brake light housing. This lets the water drain out. Use a SMALL drill, something less than 1/8 inch.
If the bulb just has a broken filament, see that the tire is secure and not banging against the lamp housing.
If the metal tabs in the socket are dirty, sand them lightly and bend up slightly for better contact.
