Re post...engine and fuel system swap LH 2. in to a CIS car 200

HI

I have an 88 240 with the B230f engine with a LH 2.4 fuel system 85k miles and the front end is wrecked I have access to a possibly very cheap ($200 or Less) 82 240 with CIS that is in excellent condition but needs major fuel system work
fuel distributor to start and the parts are no longer available new or locally used. Any one have any idea what is involved in performing an engine and fuel system swap in this vehicle. The engine part is easy as I imagine it should bolt right up to the trans and mounts its the fuel system part I need info on
any help would be appriciated

Thanks

Have you considered just changing the sheet metal! Then sell all the rest of the stuff from the donor car and get back your investment. At the least you will end up with better lighting.Just a thought.

Way easier to just fix the problems with the K-jetronic injection. The parts
are available. Even if you had to send away to a used parts supplier to get
them. Cheaper and easier than completely changing over a car from one system
to another. For ease of maintenence the K-jet system is very good. Wish you
well with what choice you make.

Just straight over....methinks...you may need to drill a hole or three - but really they are the same car. I have never done it so I can't predict with 100% certainty but if you take ALL from the donor car it should work.

Yes you'll need the LH fuel pump and lines, etc. so just park the cars next to each other and move everything from the fuel tank on...computer..relays...the whole shootin' match. (basically fool the LH system into thinking it's in it's original car :)
