Alternator Belt Adjusting 200 1978

I spent about 2 hours on the weekend trying to find the correct bolts to tighten the alternator belt, my voltage gauge indicates only 11 volts and the belt is quite loose, has almost an inch movement.
Even with the Haynes manual, I can't find the damned bolts to adjust the tension, where are they?
I've done this minor adjustment in other cars very easily so I'm a bit baffled.
Any help welcome.

There is no actual adjusting bolt on a 78 model, you just loosen the bolts holding the alternator, pry it back to tighten the belt and tighten the bolts while you hold it in place. The top bolt is in the slotted arm and the bottom bolt screws into the block. Be careful when prying it back and don't press against the water line to the water pump.

Facing the car, there should be an adjusting bolt in the block. Right below (not behind) the timing belt cover.
