Hello I own a 1987 780 with the prv b280f v6 with automatic transmission. I would like to change the transmission to a manual(m46). I need the part numbers for the bell housing, flywheel, and clutch. In north america (I am in Canada) these parts are not listed in the dealers books. If anyone has these parts used or knows of an automotive recycler(scrap yard) that does please let me know.I already have the transmission from a 740 turbo to put in the car as well as the pedals and clutch master cylinder. Thank you for your help!

I am on the west coast of the US. One of the local U-Pull Its has a 265 with manual transmission (M46/OD). You might have your dealer check the 260 series parts book. The local U-Pull It gets $250 for a transmission complete, but bell housings are only $25. If you can't find what you need, let me know. My son might be willing to pull the parts for some spending money.

Post this question up on Turbobricks. John Lane has put a B280 V6 in his 242, and he has installed all kinds of manual transmissions in it over the years (breaking one after the other with the massive torque from the turbo V6). He'd have ideas about parts that are easily available in North America.

My 240 Page

I have a lead on a bellhousing and on a flywheel, both in Sweden. You may also have noticed that W&G do list a clutch with pressure plate and bearing for the B280, no price though.

I have also found out that between 1982-1983, the 760 was offered with B28 and M46. The 780 with V6 was never sold with a manual box, however the 260 was so that might be an idea locally, but I doubt many saw that side of the Atlantic.
