Foglight mounting bracket broken off 700 1989

There has been a lot of deep snow here lately and my folight mounting bracket broke away from underneath the bumber area. I have taken it off so the car is driveable. Can anyone give me advice in terms of finding a replacement and installing it please.

Well, there is a cheaper and easy fix-it solution. If you go to your local hardware store and find some galvanized steel stock (approx 1/8" thick... 1" wide any length you need with 3/8" holes placed every inch or so.) Also buy 3 sets of bolts w/ lock washers and nuts... if you ask your local hardware store ppl they can help you. (I work at ACE in Wisconsin.) Then cut the stock with a hack saw about 6" - two pieces... however length to get the lights to sit in the same pos as before. Then pos the two pieces of stock in a "V" so that the top of the "v" is at the bolt locations of the orig. harness. Then position the two pieces over each other so that the last two holes meet up creating the V... bolt the foglight to this end... tada.. you may need some washers and longer bolts to get the foglight positioned vertically correctly... but I did this to both of my fogs 2 yrs. ago and they're still holding strong... no rust either!

    Joe

Is this the part you are looking for?

Here is a eBay auction for the item http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2409991147&category=6777 It is $14.99. BTW this is NOT one of my auctions.

This looks like the part. The problem is that I am in Toronto, Canada and i am not sure that it will be economical to have shipped. Do you know if installation is simple?

Not hard at all to install. Mounting bolts are probably still on the bumper (with a chunk of the old mount). This is a real common failure of the part. (ha-ha) When I bought my wagon, both lights were in the storage compartment in the back. Got two replacements, had six bolts to worry about, took about twenty minutes. Hardest part is re-aligning the foglight after installation.
