Nivomats? 700 1986

Hi,
My 1986 760 Turbo has currently got standard gas shocks, as the nivomats died. Can anyone tell me what other models are worth looking at in the breakers yard that will have nivomats that will fit mine?

Thanks

Mike

IfÊit had nivomats OEM and you put std shocks on it, the back end is dragging low.

You'll need to put bigger springs on it, but you probably know that by now.

I'd stick with the std shocks and the non-nivomat springs. The nivomats are nice, but they don't work as well as Bilsteins, just my .02USD worth.

I believe 760 and 960 sedan/wagons along with 780 coupes had them. I think the last year of them was 93 or 94.
I've looked for some in the yards for my 780 but unfortunately they are all getting kind of old and saggy.
I think when it is time for new ones, I'll convert to a regular shock.
    Good luck.

Well well novimats first if you have a 1986 that means you have a solid rear axle so go to a salvage yard and get a set of springs off a 740 and use the regular shocks and to the guy that has a 780 and said he will change to regular shocks not going to happen the solid axle and rear independent cars used different novimats and will not bolt up not to mention the independent cars are shorter shocke but if anyone wants a pair in great like new shape for a solid axle car I have them they were replaced about 30k miles before a crash let me know ronniew1975@aol.com
