Throttle Body, Before and After 900

I used carb cleaner on a rag to clean the T-body and a Q-tip for the tight corners. Two layers of latex gloves were needed to protect my hands. Removing the plastic ball holder for the throttle reeks of breakage. It may be a good idea to have a spare on hand.

html tags for attaching two photos will only work from a web page. I do not have one. :o(
This is a work around. :o)

yep did mine a couple of weeks ago, think mine may actually have been worse...tip here try anti-static wipe - its sold for body shops as a final prep prior to painting LOTS cheaper than carb cleaner etc and works well, i also use it for cleaning windows, cleaning oil of anything etc etc etc...good general purpose solvent...couple of words of warning do wear latex gloves and also dont smoke, or leave the can uncapped for long its evaporation rate is wicked!

Hey kick, I saw that post!

It sounds like good strong stuff, like laquer thinner that doesn't eat paint. I didn't have a chance to get to an auto paint store so I used what I had. I have been meaning to hit an auto paint store to get some trim seal too (ya know, for the door trim top edge). The "1001 uses" prep would work great for cleaning paint chips prior to touching up.

The 945 n/a was stalling at idle during red lights as they turn green, of course. The car has not stalled once since the T-body was cleaned, 1 1/2 years ago. It has been a common topic on the board in the past.

The photo is from the 944Ti, a new purch that is getting a complete make over.
